VJ.Tools Library 0.3.0 is a Windows 11 x64 preview candidate. The public release evidence does not yet prove an official 0.3.0 download. The latest published desktop baseline remains 0.2.8.
Do not download or run a file claiming to be VJ.Tools Library 0.3.0 until this page verifies and links the exact official installer, checksum, manifest, commit, byte count, and signing state.
Verify before running
- Download the installer, the versioned
SHA256SUMSfile, andrelease-manifestfrom the same official VJ.Tools release. - Open PowerShell in the download folder and run:
Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 .\<exact-installer-filename-from-the-official-0.3.0-release>
The reported hash must exactly match the installer line in the official SHA256SUMS-0.3.0.txt. The release manifest must identify the same filename, full Git commit, build time, byte size, SHA-256, SHA-512, and capability-ledger version. Do not continue after any mismatch or if any of those versioned artifacts is missing.
SmartScreen
After the published hash matches, open the installer. If the final 0.3.0 release is explicitly identified as unsigned and SmartScreen says Windows protected your PC, confirm the publisher is listed as unknown, select More info, confirm the filename is the one you verified, then choose Run anyway.
Do not bypass SmartScreen for a file from an unofficial mirror, a differently named installer, or a file whose checksum cannot be matched to the official release.
What installation changes
The per-user installer adds VJ.Tools Library and its bundled local Library Server. The local-first path requires no account, API key, model download, Tailscale connection, or internet connection. Optional semantic models, cloud compute, Google Drive, remote nodes, and hardware integrations have their own visible prerequisites.
The artifact identity and signing declaration shown above come only from the verified public release records. Publishing the installer does not certify optional hardware, cloud providers, or other integrations whose prerequisites and validation remain separately labeled.
